Job summary

Columbus Youth Academy in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all site maintenance, including grounds, water systems, and repairs, while leading maintenance staff. The role reports to the Program Director and ensures safe, compliant operations at the residential facility.

The position requires a high school diploma, 4+ years of related experience, and active trade licenses (plumbing, electrical, HVAC). A valid driver’s license and background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Licensed Technician in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or related field.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Possess a current State Driver’s License and have a good driving record.
• Pass criminal background clearance, TB test and drug screen (THC not tested).
• Previous HVAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct all site maintenance, including grounds keeping, water systems, daily maintenance, emergency repairs, remodeling, and new construction at designated sites.
• Supervise maintenance and grounds keeping staff and report to the Program Director or supervisor.
