Job summary

Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Lead to maintain and improve district facilities and infrastructure. The role involves hands-on work, leading a crew, coordinating daily activities, and fostering a safety-first environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with trades training, 2+ years of maintenance experience, and relevant Utah certifications including CDL and Grade IV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and specialized training in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
• At least two years of job-related maintenance experience.
• Utah driver's license and Class A CDL.
• Utah Grade IV Treatment and/or Distribution Certification.
• Man lift and forklift certifications.
• Ability to complete respiratory medical evaluations and respirator fit testing.
• Ability to obtain Electrical Safety/Arc Flash and Chlorine Safety certifications within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support maintenance crews in preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements at District facilities, buildings, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pumps, boilers, chillers, irrigation systems.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, assist with scheduling, and train crew members.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring proper procedures, equipment use, and safe working conditions.
• Operate equipment and vehicles including forklifts, man lifts, backhoes, skid steers, and commercial vehicles.
• Utilize maintenance management software (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule maintenance, maintain records, and prepare reports.
• Assist with emergency response, snow removal, and rotating after-hours standby.
