Job summary

Salt Lake County seeks a Custodial Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning, maintenance and repair of assigned facilities. The role supports safety, efficiency and quality of work, guiding a team and coordinating tasks to meet schedule requirements.

Minimum qualifications include six months of related experience and preferred supervisory experience. The position requires working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays with opportunities for growth and competitive county benefits.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience related to the duties of this position.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in the daily cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of assigned facility.
• Verifies all cleaning procedures and materials are appropriate and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Monitors the operation of the facility's heating, lighting, plumbing, ventilation and air conditioning systems and reports irregularities.
• Performs building security tasks by locking or unlocking doors and windows, arming or disarming the electronic security system.
• Schedules and conducts regular staff meetings to respond to inquiries, concerns and discuss assignments.
• Prepares and posts weekly work schedules to accommodate activities and coordinate large cleaning and maintenance projects.
