Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory's Bellingham Corps is seeking a Facilities Maintenance lead/Janitor to keep buildings, grounds, and vehicles clean and maintained. This full-time, non-exempt position pays $20.00 per hour and reports to Major Shevaun and Elizabeth Hicks.

Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some task-based flexibility, you will perform custodial duties, basic repairs, and maintenance tasks and help prepare spaces for programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year custodial work experience required.
• Valid Washington driver's license and ability to pass background checks required.
• Must complete TSA background check and adhere to policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow weekly and annual maintenance schedules.
• Keep facilities clean and organized in multiple areas (restrooms, kitchen, chapel, vehicles).
• Maintain vehicles with basic upkeep and cleanliness; monitor repairs when needed.
• Set up/tear down for programs; maintain exteriors and landscaping.
• Report accidents; drive required vehicles and operate power tools safely.
