Job summary

Global Connections to Employment in Gulfport, MS is looking for a Laborer to support our Facilities Maintenance team. This role centers on physical labor to keep sites clean, safe, and functional, including outdoors and loading areas.

Applicants must follow instructions, work overtime/on-call, hold a valid driver’s license, pass screenings, and meet work eligibility for the contract. Lifting up to 40–50 pounds and PPE adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Must understand written and/or verbal instructions.
• Able to work overtime and be on call for FM operations.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
• Able to meet eligibility requirements for work on specified contracts.
• Able to pass organization screenings, including background checks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move supplies using a wheelbarrow or hand truck.
• Maintain lawns, shrubbery, flowers, and trees with lawn equipment.
• Level ground, shovel concrete, cut trees and brush, and move heavy items and equipment.
• Maximize existing resources to support departmental budgets.
• Attend mandatory training and follow PPE and safety guidelines.
• Perform duties per site-specific statement of work and other duties as assigned.
