Job summary

The State of Georgia's Department of Human Services, Office of Facilities & Support Services, is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Worker 3 in Peach County. Under broad supervision, you will perform routine maintenance on buildings, grounds, and facilities and support inspections.

You will schedule inspections, coordinate with contractors, train other inspectors, and help ensure compliance with work orders and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of job-related experience; OR One (1) year of experience at the lower level Facility Maintenance Worker 2 (FES051) or position equivalent.
• Some positions may require a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, performs, and completes inspections of buildings and other structures.
• Inspects and determines vendors’ compliance with maintenance work/repairs.
• Sorts, organizes, and processes work request tickets; coordinates with contractors and owners.
• Trains, educates, and leads other inspectors and general trades technicians; provides expertise and direction for inspection concerns.
