Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking qualified candidates for the Facilities Maintenance Worker 3 role in Albany, GA. Under broad supervision, you will perform routine maintenance on buildings, facilities and grounds, while supporting inspections and vendor oversight to ensure compliance with work orders and contracts.

Qualifications

Three (3) years of job-related experience; OR One (1) year of experience at the lower level Facility Maintenance Worker 2 (FES051) or position equivalent.
Some positions may require a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Schedules, performs, and completes inspections of buildings and other structures.
Inspects and determines vendors’ compliance with maintenance work/repairs.
Sorts, organizes, and processes work request tickets; schedules time frames for inspections and coordinates with contractors.
Travels to various inspections to review and assess work for compliance with work orders and contracts.
Identifies non-compliant work; notes discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
