Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Zeeland, MI is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to monitor and maintain the appearance of production and support facilities, and support a variety of building and vehicle maintenance tasks. The role requires 1–3 years of experience, knowledge of building elements, and the ability to obtain hi-lo and man-lift certifications; a high school diploma is preferred.

You will work under the facilities manager and support teams across the site.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in Facilities Maintenance or construction.
• Knowledge and understanding of building elements required.
• Understanding of furniture systems and its installation is useful.
• High school graduate preferred.
• Ability to obtain hi-lo and man-lift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of scheduled and unscheduled Facilities Maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and repair building elements i.e. door, ceilings, floor coverings, lighting etc.
• Assist with Facilities and Production support related projects.
• Basic troubleshooting of facilities equipment.
• General grounds and snow removal duties.
• Perform emergency support tasks in the areas of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Security and Housekeeping.
• Assist with corporate vehicle washing and maintenance.
• Assist in the installation and relocation of office furniture.
• Other misc. duties to include parts runs, leak detection, clean up etc.

To monitor and maintain the appearance of all production and support facilities. To increase control over a multitude of support projects and provide assistance in detailed building, production and vehicle maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of scheduled and unscheduled Facilities Maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and repair building elements i.e. door, ceilings, floor coverings, lighting etc.
• Assist with Facilities and Production support related projects.
