Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a long-standing multi-service health organization, is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Housekeeping II to uphold clean, safe facilities. The role covers grounds upkeep, building maintenance, apartment turnover, and daily floor care and disinfecting duties across properties.

You will coordinate with external vendors for PMs and ensure supplies are stocked for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Grounds maintenance: mowing grass, weeding, raking leaves, pruning trees, shoveling snow, and keeping grounds clean.
• Building maintenance: clean, dust-free, well-lit, ventilated indoor facilities for tenants and staff.
• Turn apartments for new tenants and restore units to like-new condition.
• Floor care: sweep/mop daily; strip and wax quarterly; vacuum carpets daily; shampoo quarterly.
• Maintain lighting fixtures; perform repairs as needed.
• Dust desks, chairs, cabinets; disinfect bathrooms daily.
• Proper disposal of biohazard waste and daily waste removal.
• Monthly inspections of smoke alarms, exit signs and building security.
• Check heating/ventilation monthly and arrange servicing as needed.
• Repair damaged materials promptly and inspect corridors, offices and rooms for safety.
• Order supplies through the Sea Mar Purchasing Agent and maintain monthly inventory.
• Coordinate pest extermination with vendors as required.
• Inspect basements and manage items and water pumps regularly.

Responsibilities

• Grounds and building maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for tenants and staff.
• Turnover cleaning and preparation of apartments for new residents; maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Daily/weekly cleaning tasks including floor care, lighting, and bathroom disinfecting.
• Liaise with vendors for maintenance and safety inspections and manage supply inventories.
