Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a Maintenance Generalist I to perform semi-skilled and unskilled maintenance on campus facilities. This role supports building users, responds to service calls, and participates in preventative maintenance programs.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of related experience, with preferred multi-trade exposure and a Florida Class E license. Normal schedule is 3 PM–1:30 AM, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0–2 years of related experience.
• Experience in multiple trades preferred.
• Florida Class E driver's license or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform semi-skill and unskilled maintenance and repairs.
• Provide daily maintenance support through calls for service and PM inspections.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and light carpentry tasks as needed.
• Read blueprints, order parts, and document work in the work order system.
