Job summary

Franciscan Villa is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support upkeep and safety of the facility. You will assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This full-time role includes collaboration with a team to maintain property, operate within safety guidelines, and provide a hands-on approach to everyday maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities support role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and general repair techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility
• Perform routine inspections of equipment, systems, and building areas to identify and address potential issues
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Help ensure the facility remains compliant with local, state, and federal safety and health regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage areas
• Assist with setting up for events or moving furniture and equipment as needed
• Work collaboratively with other team members to promote a positive and safe environment
