Job summary

The Center at Cordera in COLORADO SPRINGS, CO is seeking a Maintenance Assistant. This role will start as part-time or seasonal with full-time hours initially to keep the building and grounds in pristine condition. Pay is dependent on experience and ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 hourly.

Qualifications

  • Experience in facility maintenance and repairs preferred.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks across trades.
  • Willingness to pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment (painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
  • Clean windows and screens as directed.
  • Replace burned-out light bulbs including exit lighting and overhead lights.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services in resident areas.
  • Service heating and cooling units per manufacturer guidance.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor.

Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly

The Center at Cordera is currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the team! This position will ultimately be a part time or a seasonal position, but will offer full time hours initially to help maintain and restore the building's pristine environment. Pay is dependent on experience.

The purpose of this position is to assist in maintaining the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include painting, plumping, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc. as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Clean windows and screens as directed.
  • Replace burned out light bulbs to include exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc. and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
  • Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Other related duties as they become necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, and/or the Administrator

Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
