Job summary

Lucas Metropolitan Housing in Toledo, Ohio is seeking a Laborer (Set-Out) to perform maintenance tasks and assist with the upkeep of LMHA structures and grounds to ensure clean, safe, and decent housing for residents.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in labor, custodial, or grounds-keeping, plus a valid Ohio or Michigan driver's license. This is a full-time on-site position in the Asset Management department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year in laborer, custodial, or grounds-keeping.
• Must have knowledge of safety practices; basic building/grounds maintenance.
• Valid Ohio or Michigan driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, fences and perform janitorial duties to keep areas clean and safe.
• Perform lawn care including mowing, trimming hedges, watering, and raking leaves.
• Set-outs/trash-outs per eviction proceedings as directed by the Laborers Crew Leader.
• Report daily needs to Laborers Crew Leader and track assignments.
• Assist Maintenance Mechanics as needed and perform light building maintenance.
• Record materials, job codes and labor hours using the work order system.
• Keep vacant units clean and orderly; clean appliances, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Operate equipment safely (bulbs, boilers, trash rooms) and wear PPE as required.
