Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance and Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of PMC facilities. This role includes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, general maintenance, equipment assembly, and coordination with third-party contractors. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care, minor repairs, and overall facility upkeep.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Janitorial Duties:

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and trash removal.
  • Maintain restrooms, ensuring cleanliness, restocking supplies, and addressing any sanitation issues.
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks as required, including carpet cleaning, window washing, and high-dust removal.
  • Ensure break rooms and common areas remain clean and well-maintained.

Facility Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Perform basic repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Wall repair and painting
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Assemble and install new equipment, furniture, and fixtures as needed.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Floor Care Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all flooring types, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Perform floor buffing, stripping, and waxing on a scheduled basis.
  • Ensure all cleaning products and equipment are used and stored safely.

Contractor & Vendor Coordination:

  • Interface with third-party service providers for specialized repairs and facility projects.
  • Oversee and ensure contracted work meets PMC standards.
  • Assist in coordinating facility improvement projects.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleaning and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure hazardous materials are properly handled and stored.

Inventory & Supplies:

  • Track and order janitorial and maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Maintain organized storage of cleaning products and maintenance tools.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, janitorial work, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
  • Experience with floor care machines (buffers, strippers, waxers) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Reliable transportation to multiple PMC locations as needed.
Schedule & Compensation:
  • Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
  • Schedule flexibility, including occasional evening or weekend work based on facility needs.
  • Competitive pay based on experience.
