Job summary

Big Geyser Inc., New York's largest non-alcoholic beverage distributor, is seeking a Porter to clean and maintain warehouse facilities. You will perform restroom cleaning, trash removal, and stocked supply areas, ensuring a safe and orderly environment at Brentwood and surrounding sites.

The role requires reliable transportation, the ability to work 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM shifts, and weekend availability. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors is expected.

Qualifications

• Some experience or knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated office areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, restroom cleaning etc.).
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners in offices and lunch rooms, clean receptacles as needed
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Uses personal protective equipment correctly
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Shows initiative in regard to job functions and accepts new responsibilities
• Timely completion of all assigned tasks

About the Position

The Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of the warehouse. Duties may include cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and stocking supplies in all warehouse areas, including break room and restrooms. The janitor must also be able to respond to business management needs in a timely and effective manner. Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to Brentwood office.

Work Hours and Location

• Scheduled shift will be from 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
• Candidates must have weekend availability throughout the year as a part of their regular schedule, as occasional weekend shifts are an essential aspect of this position. Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may also be required based on the needs of the business.
• The reporting location for this position is Brentwood, NY.
