Job summary

Leonardo DRS Daylight Solutions seeks a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, repair, and safe operation of site buildings, equipment, utilities and grounds across San Diego and Madison, with a base at either site and 30% travel. The role covers cleanroom support, HVAC, life-safety systems, and compliance with DoD/ITAR requirements.

Requires 5+ years of facilities leadership in relevant industries and hands-on experience with cryogenic systems, high-purity gas handling, and CMMS tools.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of facilities experience.
• Experience leading facilities in photonics/semiconductor/aerospace defense manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cleanrooms, life-safety systems, and CMMS usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds to meet cleanroom and production needs.
• Manage in-house staff and contractors, ensuring cost-effective maintenance.
• Oversee budgets and scheduling for facility operations and renovations.
• Ensure facilities support 24/7 operations where required and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate safety, compliance, and incident reporting across sites.
