Job summary

South Middlesex Opportunity Council, Inc. is seeking a Laborer, GWHC in Worcester, MA for full-time manual labor. The role involves cleaning, trash removal, restocking, event setup, and property maintenance on site 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Ideal candidates will perform a variety of support duties, lift up to 50 lbs, and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform hands-on physical labor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform any combination of support duties as instructed by supervisory personnel.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean, and re-supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; clean windows and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
• Set up and remove decorations for events; move heavy furniture and supplies.
• Maintain property exteriors; operate lawn care and snow removal equipment.
• Clean and restore interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water; load/unload trucks.
