Job summary

The State of Hawai'i Department of Human Resources Development is seeking personnel to fill immediate vacancies in Halawa to Kalihi, Downtown, Ewa, and Manoa to Kahala. Positions include temporary and permanent full-time roles with rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Successful candidates must meet federal work requirements and may qualify for civil service after probation. Responsibilities include supervising custodial staff, maintaining clean facilities, and complying

Qualifications

• Two (2) YEARS of janitorial or related custodial work such as sweeping, dusting and cleaning of buildings.
• Supervisory aptitude demonstrated through supervision-related assignments or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in keeping assigned buildings and building areas clean and orderly, including heavy lifting, cleaning places and equipment which are not easily accessible, simple building repair work and operating industrial type cleaning equipment; and performs other related duties as assigned.
