Job summary

Sports Force Parks in Ohio is offering a mid-May to August internship focused on facilities, turf, and grounds maintenance. You will learn maintenance of twelve artificial turf fields, operate basic machinery, and assist with field setup, cleaning, and operations while delivering strong customer service.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or current bachelor’s students with excellent communication, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities, holding a valid driver’s license and willing

• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability to work mid-May through August, including nights and weekends; start/end dates flexible around school schedule.
• Interest in a career in Facilities, Turf, or Grounds Maintenance.
• Outgoing, friendly personality.
• Strong initiative and high energy.

Responsibilities

• Learn facility maintenance aspects of a premier youth multi-sports complex.
• Assist facilities staff and other interns with cleaning, trash removal, filling water coolers, field setup, and essential operational tasks.
• Learn to safely operate machinery including tractors, UTVs, forklifts, and golf carts.
• Assist the Park Superintendent with maintenance of twelve artificial turf playing fields.
• Inspect structures and surfaces for player and fan safety, cleanliness, and appearance.
• Identify issues in preventative maintenance areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, turf, landscaping, and paved surfaces.
• Maintain professionalism while providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate initiative and uphold the values of Sports Force Parks, Unrivaled, and Ripken brands.
• Collaborate with staff to achieve objectives and provide a positive experience for participants.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rate of $13 per hour.
• Housing can be provided by Sports Force Parks.
