Job summary

Sports Force Parks in Ohio—Sandusky is seeking an internship candidate who has recently graduated or is pursuing a bachelor’s degree to learn facility maintenance at a premier youth multi-sports complex. You will assist facilities staff with cleaning, field setup, water cooler filling, and essential operations while maintaining a professional, customer-focused attitude.

You will gain hands-on experience operating equipment such as tractors, UTVs, forklifts, and golf carts, and you will help

• Recent graduate or current bachelor’s degree student.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Good time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learn facility maintenance aspects of a premier youth multi-sports complex.
• Assist facilities staff and interns with cleaning, trash removal, filling water coolers, field setup, and operational tasks.
• Learn to safely operate machinery including tractors, UTVs, forklifts, and golf carts.
• Assist the Park Superintendent with maintenance of twelve artificial turf playing fields.
• Inspect structures and surfaces for safety, cleanliness, and appearance.
• Identify issues in preventative maintenance areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, turf, landscaping, and paved surfaces.
• Maintain professionalism while providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate initiative and uphold the values of Sports Force Parks, Unrivaled, and Ripken brands.
• Collaborate with staff to achieve objectives and provide a positive experience for participants.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rate of $13 per hour.
• Housing can be provided by Sports Force Parks.
