Job summary

Burns Engineering, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Project Manager I to join the Facilities & Infrastructure Team.

You will deliver small to mid-scale engineering projects on time, within budget, and in scope while meeting contract requirements and client expectations. You will delegate tasks, manage a team of engineers, nurture client relationships, and contribute to business development while maintaining project profitability and adherence to Burns standards and QAQC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience managing projects, people, and business development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small to mid-scale engineering projects of moderate complexity on time and within budget.
• Review contracts and scope; create BUCE plan to meet standards and avoid write-downs.
• Create resource plans and delegate tasks to project team and engineers.
• Coordinate with technical leads to develop solutions and ensure quality and efficiency.
• Complete BUCE and QAQC procedures; communicate out-of-scope work for approvals.
• Build and maintain client relationships and drive business development within the firm.
• Monitor accounts receivable and maintain profitability and utilization goals.
