Job summary

Maguire Automotive Ithaca current opening seeks a skilled maintenance professional who can troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate HVAC and related building systems in a dealership setting. You will follow preventive maintenance, interpret technical drawings, and coordinate parts for repairs.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and four years of progressively responsible HVAC experience in non-residential settings. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and related equipment to determine defects.
• Troubleshoot and correct major malfunctions of HVAC and shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Repair and adjust pneumatic controls, replace filters, lubricate equipment per specs.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
• Order parts as needed and assist with sheet metal duct work.
• Determine parts and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain equipment and assist in emergencies after hours if needed.
