New York State Office of Mental Health is seeking housekeepers to clean, care for, and maintain state facilities, including patient and staff living quarters, administrative, study areas, classrooms, meeting rooms, and laboratories.

As working supervisors, these positions supervise a staff of about three to five lower-level cleaners, perform cleaning tasks with light to heavy physical effort, requisition linens and supplies, and ensure proper upkeep of the facilities.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and to communicate orally and in writing.
