Job summary

Ziegler CAT is seeking a part-time seasonal Shop/Yard Helper in the Service Department in Sheldon, IA. You will support technicians, organize tools, manage supplies, and assist with yard maintenance while handling loading/unloading and cleanliness in the shop and yard.

Starting pay ranges from $15.73 to $18.86 per hour, with pay dependent on skills and location. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, reliability, and good customer service as you contribue to a busy CAT service operation.

• Transfer tools, components, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
• Organize department tooling
• Supplies inventory
• Assist shop technicians with maintenance & repair of equipment.
• Help maintain the yard
• Load and unload trucks
• Support contamination control expectations
• Remove trash and recycling
• Clean in shop & facility
• Wash machines in the wash bay

Qualifications:

Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Push/pull up to 25 lbs
• Lift/carry up to 25 lbs
• Lift bulky objects
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.
• Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

The pay range for this position is

$15.73 to $18.86

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
