Job summary

Florida State University Panama City is seeking a Maintenance Support Worker to help with building upkeep, groundskeeping, and campus services. You will participate in routine maintenance tasks, cleaning, and set-ups for events, with structured hands-on training during the first three months.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and independent task execution under supervision. It is a full-time, on-site USPS position at the Panama City campus, with opportunities to grow skills in facilities

Qualifications

Completion of 9th grade.
A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
OSHA awareness and related safety practices.

Responsibilities

Assists with maintenance of buildings, including windows, doors, furnishings, drywall, painting, construction, trash and debris removal, and setting up for functions.
Performs general cleaning and grounds maintenance around buildings, parking areas, drives, and campus areas; operates mowers and related equipment.
Maintains exterior sprinkler systems and repairs water pipes and sprinkler heads.
Performs routine maintenance of groundskeeping equipment and tools.
Assists in HVAC routine preventive maintenance and related repairs; supports department safety procedures.
