Job summary

The San Pasqual Band Of Diegueno Mission Indians Of California is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance of tribal facilities, grounds, and equipment. The role includes grounds upkeep, minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and assisting at events.

Candidates must have a valid CA driver's license, pass pre-employment drug screening, and be able to lift up to 150 lbs; prior handyman or facilities experience preferred; willingness to work

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CA Driver’s license and be able to be added to the Tribe’s vehicle insurance plan.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug testing thereafter.
• General knowledge of landscaping or facilities preferred.
• Able to operate handheld equipment and power-driven machinery to complete maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance including erosion control, raking, mowing, sprinkler repair, and simple irrigation work.
• Handyman tasks: plumbing, electrical, minor carpentry and roof repairs.
• Move heavy objects and assist at events; operate tools and small equipment; work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Follow safety rules, use protective equipment, and communicate with staff and vendors.
