Job summary

Heritage Hall-Wise is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Wise, VA to perform maintenance and construction tasks around the facility. Responsibilities include grounds and parking lot upkeep, equipment inspection, and cleaning in basement/storage areas, with painting and plastering as needed.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in maintenance, construction, or power plant work is required.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and construction work around the facility.
• Maintain grounds, parking lots and equipment.
• Carry out cleaning tasks in basement, storage and utility areas as needed.
• Paint, plaster and related tasks.
• Inspect all equipment to ensure proper functioning.
