Job summary

Weber School District is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to support the grounds and facilities. The role focuses on maintaining outdoor areas, operating equipment, and ensuring safe, clean, and presentable grounds for events and daily activity.

The position requires physical presence on site, ability to handle landscaping tasks, and collaboration with the Grounds Foreman and Maintenance team. Training and a competitive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of methods of industrial cleaning; safety practices and procedures; operation and maintenance of grounds equipment and vehicles; and health standards and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Assists with snow removal to maintain a safe environment.
• Cleans landscaped areas and related items to prevent flooding and hazards.
• Assesses and repairs irrigation/sprinkler systems.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment to keep them in proper working order.
• Operates heavy equipment for district grounds maintenance.
• Plants landscaping materials for aesthetics and erosion protection.
• Prepares grounds and athletic fields for events and activities.
• Responds to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.
