Twin Oaks Landfill in Virginia is looking for a maintenance worker to ensure the appearance and security of landfill and compost sites. The role requires physical labor, including mowing, landscaping, and equipment repairs.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience. Tasks include general maintenance, cleaning systems, and following safety protocols.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds and work irregular hours as needed.
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance of grounds, equipment, and facilities.
Physical and Environmental Conditions: Ability to sit, stand, and drive a vehicle to and from various worksites. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Work may involve exposure to seasonal temperatures, travel across rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces at the landfill is required. Must be available to work irregular hours, shifts, weekends, and some holidays.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Texas driver’s license. Minimum of two years of grounds maintenance or related facilities maintenance experience.
