Job summary

Clemson University is seeking a Building/Grounds Specialist II (NHS) to perform routine custodial duties as part of a skilled team. The role includes housekeeping tasks, floor care, inventory and supply distribution, and assisting with inspections and safety guidance.

Standard Hours are 40 per week. Minimum requirements include 1+ year experience in custodial or related work; preferred qualifications include a high school diploma with Custodial Certification and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience: custodial, housekeeping or pest control work directly related to area.
• Work Experience: 1+ years
• High School or Equivalent - Custodial Certification preferred
• Driver's License Class D required (< 26,000)
• 3+ years of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing and polishing floors.
• Performs floor care such as waxing, buffing, and dry/wet stripping floors.
• Uses buffing machine, wet-dry vacuum and roto washer.
• Assists in inspecting buildings and restocking restrooms.
• Maintains inventory and distributes supplies in assigned areas.
• Responds to emergencies and weekend snow callbacks.
