Job summary

Baltimore City is seeking a Community Aide to support facilities maintenance operations and fleet service coordination. You will assist skilled trades staff, perform general maintenance and custodial duties, and help with administrative tasks to ensure city facilities and fleet operations run efficiently and safely.

One year of custodial experience is required, with strong customer service and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in cleaning or custodial work.

Responsibilities

• Assists Building Repairers or Fleet staff with repair, maintenance, and operational support tasks.
• Performs minor painting, carpentry, custodial, or general maintenance duties.
• Conducts visual inspections of City facilities, fixtures, equipment, or fleet assets and reports issues.
• Leads or assists with cleanup and organization after repairs or emergencies.
• Responds to City emergencies or weather events in support of facilities or fleet operations.
• Maintains an orderly storeroom and tracks supplies in inventory systems.
• Performs general housekeeping to ensure safe, organized workspaces.
• Follows safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
