Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Tomah, WI seeks a Maintenance and Operations Supervisor to direct and coordinate year-round maintenance, vehicle fleet management and grounds operations for 60+ buildings and 174 acres.

You will lead a team, oversee contractors, manage finances, plan and evaluate programs, and ensure safe operation of tools and equipment across the Tomah VA Medical Center. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and project management skills, with duties including

Qualifications

• Ability to lead or supervise, manage resources and staff.
• Financial management and budgeting awareness.
• Planning, evaluating, and coordinating programs and projects.
• Vehicle maintenance and fleet operations oversight.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Planning, directing, and coordinating maintenance programs for vehicles and grounds.
• Directly manage a large fleet and oversee vehicle rotation and utilization.
• Supervise federal wage system staff and contractors for safe operations.
• Coordinate meetings, training, and information exchange with stakeholders.
• Analyze costs, performance, and program effectiveness for reporting.
