Job summary

Loyola University Maryland is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II to maintain the university’s buildings and ensure a clean, orderly, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The role includes cleaning floors, upholstery, bathrooms, and common areas, with occasional event setup.

The position requires ability to operate cleaning machinery, follow instructions, lift moderate loads, and work under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Experience with floor machines for shampooing, extracting, stripping and refinishing is advantageous.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic; follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas using cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Operates floor buffing and waxing machines and other standard cleaning equipment.
• Performs sanitation of bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Cleans various flooring surfaces and carpets.
• Assists with setup for events and athletic activities as needed.
• Reports malfunctions or damages to supervisor.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness throughout the shift.
