Job summary

Steinberg-Diagnostic-Medical-Imaging is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness in patient areas and offices, including carpets, chairs, and floors. You will follow safety protocols, inspect equipment, and respond to hazards, while supporting cross-functional teams across facilities.

Float assignments to different SDMI facilities may be required to meet business needs, with training and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must follow chain of command.
• Completion of occurrence reports within 24 hours of event/occurrence/risk.
• Supervisor reviews performance periodically; may require additional training.
• Time management to accommodate changing workloads.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adapt to changes in locations, assignments and priorities.
• Teamwork with coworkers and personnel.
• Identify hazardous materials in the work area.
• Follow SDMI safety and evacuation guidelines.
• Cross-train for department growth.
• Update knowledge of department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate punctuality and attendance compliance.
• Handle chemicals, cleaners and solvents as needed.
• Move and operate heavy equipment like vacuums and extractors.
• Stand and walk, reaching heights up to 6.5 feet.
• Move trash carts to dumpsters.
• Report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness consistently.
• Utilize supplies and equipment effectively.
• Communicate when follow-up is needed.
• Perform other related environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of patient and office areas, carpets, chairs and floors.
• Inspect equipment for safety hazards and report unsafe conditions.
• Follow SDS guidelines for products used and proper disposal of waste.
• Shampoo carpets, strip and wax floors as trained.
• Secure assigned facility at start or end of shift.
• Complete trainings prior to due dates and maintain equipment daily.
