Legends Global at the WATSCO Center in Miami seeks a Director of Facilities and Engineering to lead arena building systems, central plant operations, BAS, and life-safety infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 10–15 years in facilities leadership.
• Experience with large venues or complex facilities (arenas, stadiums, airports, hospitals).
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, BAS, and life-safety systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, vendor management, and budgets.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of all arena building systems (HVAC, BAS, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety).
• Lead central plant operations including chillers, cooling towers, and pumps.
• Oversee BAS and facility monitoring system performance and reliability.
• Drive preventive maintenance programs and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure facility readiness for events (games, concerts, special events).
• Manage facilities engineering staff and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with University Facilities Department on repairs and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
