Job summary

Intuitive Machines seeks a Facilities Engineer to oversee reliability, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our facilities and manufacturing infrastructure in Houston. You will lead building systems, equipment installations, and facility projects while collaborating with Facilities, Manufacturing, Engineering, and vendors.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus experience with CMMS/BMS and ISO-classified cleanroom

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Facilities Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years supporting facilities, manufacturing, aerospace, or high-tech environments.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Experience coordinating vendors, projects, and maintenance activities.
• PE license or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability, maintenance, and optimization of facility infrastructure and manufacturing support systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering on equipment needs, utility requirements, and commissioning.
• Maintain cleanrooms and ISO-classified environments, including HVAC and filtration.
• Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs using CMMS/BMS.
• Lead facility upgrades, installations, and capital projects from planning to turnover.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for service and inspections.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and documentation across facilities activities.
• Mentor facilities technicians and support cross-functional teams.
• Travel domestically ~15–20% as needed.
