Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline; an equivalent degree may be considered.
• Master's degree in a related Engineering discipline is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant engineering experience; or Master's with at least two years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Knowledge of FDA requirements, cGMP standards, and applicable regulatory guidance.
• Experience supporting audits, technical investigations, and report writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for the specification, installation, qualification, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of assigned facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain understanding of equipment functionality, design, and operating requirements.
• Provide technical direction for current and future design of assigned systems.
• Maintain system technology and identify opportunities to implement industry best practices.
• Own and maintain SOPs and work instructions; develop training materials and troubleshooting guides.
• Review piping and instrumentation diagrams and equipment specifications; manage parts inventory.
• Perform risk assessments to identify critical equipment and optimize maintenance strategies.
• Provide technical guidance for Facilities Soft Services at site.
• Improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance.
• Evaluate and optimize preventive maintenance; implement predictive maintenance.
• Support TPM practices; monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Coordinate technical activities during planned shutdowns.
• Collaborate with EH&S, Quality, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Calibration, and other teams.
• Develop long-term asset-management strategies and replacement plans.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/cGMP and site procedures; support regulatory inspections.
