Job summary

Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. is seeking a skilled plumber to support maintenance tasks across our store network.

You will perform plumbing repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance in retail environments, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with store standards. The role requires reliable teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to varying schedules, including nights and weekends, to minimize store disruption.

Qualifications

• General plumbing experience especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and help all department members.
• Flexibility to handle changing scope of assignments and projects.
• Ability to work various schedules including nights, weekends and holidays; overtime may be required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong PC skills: Windows XP, MS Excel, CPC Ultrasite/Controllers, MS Outlook; familiarity with Kroger mainframe apps such as Viryanet Service Hub.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning drains, valve repair and replacements in toilets, repair and install commercial water heaters, and other plumbing tasks.
• Submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory via company programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expenses meet annual budget guidelines.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
