Job summary

Hilcorp seeks an experienced Facilities Engineer to provide facilities engineering expertise for Hilcorp’s L48 Asset Teams in Houston. The role spans compression, treating, dehydration, wellsite facilities, gathering systems, gas processing, tank batteries, and saltwater disposal, aiming to optimize reliability, throughput, and cost.

The successful candidate will serve as Project Manager on larger initiatives, engage outside engineering support, develop standards, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of engineering experience in oil and gas including operations support, front-end engineering, design, estimating, scheduling, and field project execution.
• Experience with compression, pipelines, treating (CO2/H2S), dehydration, wellsite facilities, gathering systems, gas processing, tank batteries, saltwater disposal, closed-vent systems, and measurement.
• Experience reading and creating block flow diagrams, P&IDs, isometrics, data sheets, and specifications.
• Strong leadership and ability to translate complex technical information into clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop recommendations to optimize production, reliability, and costs.
• Troubleshoot complex operations and develop engineering solutions.
• Model processes, compressor performance, and gathering hydraulics for project support.
• Support development of company standards and design guidelines.
