Job summary

SpaceXAI in Memphis, TN is seeking a facilities engineer to design, build, operate, and maintain critical facilities and systems across Memphis and Southaven sites. You will manage multi-discipline projects, supervise contractors, review drawings (AutoCAD/Revit), and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires travel to project sites, availability for extended hours, and hands-on execution of maintenance and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in facilities engineering and/or construction.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of site development projects with on-site groups to maximize productivity.
• Contractor management including RFP, specs and supplier selection.
• Provide technical engineering support to ensure construction/maintenance complies with standards.
• Commission, operate and maintain facilities with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Verify maintenance, coordinate repair and contingency systems for HVAC, high power, cranes, lighting, doors, roof leaks, security, and fire protection.
• Develop cost estimates, material requisitions, and plans for multi-discipline projects.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts through close-out.
• Prepare capital expenditure processes and ensure budget and deadlines.
• Communicate and schedule building activities to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure reliability and maintainability of new/modified installations.
• Respond to facility emergencies and manage readiness for hurricanes and environmental threats.
• Collaborate with Space Force to obtain building permits and ensure inspections are completed.
