Job summary

North Dallas Bank & Trust (NDBT) is seeking a Building Engineer to support operations across multiple Dallas-area locations, starting with Frisco, TX. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and responsive facility support to keep all bank sites safe and functional.

Responsibilities include inspections, routine repairs, and assisting with renovations and bank events. Strong organizational skills and the ability to travel between locations are essential to maintain

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.
3–5 years of commercial building maintenance or building engineering experience preferred.
Experience maintaining multiple facilities is strongly preferred; banking/healthcare/office environments a plus.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of bank buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, and other systems.
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and mechanical issues.
Monitor building automation systems and ensure proper operation of facility equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on safety and business needs.
Coordinate service calls and oversee outside contractors; ensure compliance with security procedures.
