Job description

Experience managing construction and facilities improvement projects, including renovations, retrofits, and infrastructure upgrades.

Working knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with project management tools and processes, including scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, and risk mitigation.

sustainable, and equipped to meet the needs of
our customers.

This role will position you as the primary focal point for facility improvement projects, representing our capabilities and contributing to the mission of solving complex challenges and advancing human discovery.

Your day-to-day contributions will include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Leading and managing facility improvement projects, including renovations, expansions, and equipment installations, from conception to completion.
  2. Developing comprehensive project plans, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating effectively with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
  3. Gathering and analyzing data regarding facility specifications, regulatory requirements, and construction feasibility to inform decision-making.
  4. Collaborating with architecture and engineering firms to establish design criteria and prepare detailed layout drawings.
  5. Preparing bid sheets and contracts for construction and facility acquisitions, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  6. Conducting regular safety inspections, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring employee training on safety procedures.
  7. Inspecting construction and installation progress, ensuring adherence to established designs, specifications, and timelines.
  8. Serving as the “face” of Facilities, representing our department’s capabilities and fostering strong relationships across the organization.

Work Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
