Description

The Facilities Engineer II reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

First Shift and must work every third weekend.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate and maintain building mechanical systems and equipment, including high pressure boilers, chillers, and medical air compressors, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  2. Assist in maintaining and repairing power plant equipment with minimal supervision, monitor engineering systems, and respond to emergency situations.
  3. Perform safety checks, repairs, preventive maintenance, cleaning, painting, and chemical analysis of systems.
  4. Respond to plant emergencies, service requests, and perform scheduled maintenance in accordance with policies and standards.
  5. Assist contractors/vendors with repairs, maintenance, and construction as needed.
Additional Functions
  1. Coordinate audit schedules, complete quality audits, and ensure documentation for reporting.
  2. Provide feedback on department policies, track quality performance, and communicate audit results.
  3. Assess staff development needs and collaborate with project teams for planning and execution.
Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years relevant building maintenance experience including high pressure steam boilers
  • Technical training in maintenance
  • Licensed as a Stationary Engineer
  • Experience with boilers, generators, or mechanical maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license (must provide Driving Abstract)
  • Physical ability to lift/carry up to 70 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds
Preferred:
  • Hospital or military experience
  • One year training in Boiler Maintenance
