Job summary

ABM is seeking a Building Engineer in Seattle to operate, maintain, and repair building systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient facility operation. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate vendor services to support daily operations.

The role, in a Monday–Friday shift with a $42 per hour pay rate and weekly pay, emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with property management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certification in building systems preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in building engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
• EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants (preferred) or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Address and resolve building system malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours.
• Schedule and coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
• Escort vendors and contractors on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
