Job summary

ABM is seeking a Building Engineer in Seattle, WA to operate, maintain, and repair building systems on a Monday–Friday schedule. The role requires ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable facility operation while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The successful candidate will drive energy efficiency and uphold high maintenance standards. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or technical certification in building systems preferred.
EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred; related trade licenses a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Address and resolve building system malfunctions quickly to minimize disruption.
Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours.
Schedule and coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
Monitor building management systems (BMS) to optimize energy usage and performance.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and repair history.
