Job Summary
The Facilities Engineer - HVAC will coordinate and manage the planning, implementation, and maintenance of HVAC equipment for ICHS buildings and facilities. The engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for technical facilities needs, primarily in HVAC systems, and will lead construction and maintenance projects involving HVAC changes. Responsibilities include maintaining building HVAC filters, performing equipment surveys, and following lock-out tag-out protocols.
Education - High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in a relevant engineering field preferred.
Experience - At least five (5) years of facilities engineering experience, with thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, water source heat pumps, VAV systems, boilers, chemical treatment, HVAC, cooling towers, emergency equipment, transfer switches, and life safety systems. Basic understanding of HVAC systems, air filtration, boilers, and hot water loop systems is required.
Other Requirements - Ability to travel between ICHS sites as needed. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required if using personal vehicle. HVAC certification preferred.
