Job summary

EPMA, Inc. in Auburn Hills, Michigan is seeking a Facilities Engineer on a 12-month contract to assess facility conditions, lead technical evaluations, and oversee contractor activities across diverse client sites.

You will work with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to deliver practical recommendations that improve reliability, efficiency, and lifecycle planning, with on-site presence prioritized.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or plant engineering and infrastructure assessment.
• Ability to review reports, drawings, and contractor deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication in client-facing roles.
• Experience with contractor oversight and project coordination.
• U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility inspections and infrastructure evaluations.
• Evaluate building systems for condition, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to address facility requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports documenting findings, risks, and improvements.
• Serve as owner's representative for facility programs and coordinate with clients and contractors.
• Identify project or technical issues and facilitate timely resolution.
