Job summary

Munro Defense is seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide technical guidance for defense and aerospace client projects in Auburn Hills, MI. You will oversee contractor work, analyze facility operations, and support real property management programs.

The role requires strong communication, engineering judgment, and the ability to lead technical initiatives in regulated environments. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in engineering consulting or client-facing technical roles.
• Prior COR or contractor oversight experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of real property regulations, easements, and land-use agreements.
• Ability to perform facility inspections, engineering analyses, and risk assessments.
• Experience in manufacturing environments or production facilities is a plus.
• Excellent communication and client-relationship skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted engineering consultant for defense and aerospace clients, driving improvements in facility operations, maintenance programs, and real property management.
• Provide technical recommendations supporting manufacturing optimization, cost reduction, operational efficiency, and overall facility performance.
• Represent Munro Defense during client meetings, program reviews, and technical discussions.
• Prepare and deliver clear engineering reports, assessments, and presentations for client leadership.
• Act as an owner representative for client programs, overseeing contractor-executed planning, development, maintenance, and property disposition.
• Evaluate contractor performance against cost, schedule, quality, and compliance requirements.
