Job summary

Ableserve in Los Angeles seeks an Engineer to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, coordinate service calls, and escort vendors on-site while collaborating with contractors to keep the facility safe, functional, and compliant.

The Engineer position offers a Thursday–Monday shift (12pm–8pm) with pay ranging from $46.26 to $54.47 per hour.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in building systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Address and resolve building system malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours.
Schedule and coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
Escort vendors and contractors on-site, ensuring adherence to site protocols and safety requirements.
Monitor building management systems (BMS) to optimize energy usage and system performance.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and repair history.
