Job Description
This position is responsible for a variety of assignments related to construction, remodeling, renovations, and maintenance of facilities according to various state and federal regulations. The primary function is to carry out duties related to state licensed health facilities and agencies as set forth in the Public Health Code, Article 17, Part 201, Section 20145. Section 20145 requires state licensed health facilities to submit plans for review and issuance of a permit prior to initiation of a project. Duties include plan review, issuance of a construction permit, onsite inspections, and issuance of an occupancy permit. In addition, this position provides support to the Bureau of Survey and Certification to conduct onsite routine inspections and complaint related investigations related to physical plant environment according to federal regulations. This position requires the interpretation and application of state and federal regulations as well as professional engineering principles and environmental practices.

Required Education And Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Experience
Facilities Engineer 9
No specific type or amount is required.
Facilities Engineer 10
One year of professional engineering experience involved in the construction, remodeling, and maintenance of buildings and facilities equivalent to a Facilities Engineer 9.
Facilities Engineer P11
Two years of professional engineering experience involved in the construction, remodeling, and maintenance of buildings and facilities equivalent to a Facilities Engineer, including one year equivalent to a Facilities Engineer 10.
